The project definition is carried out in SAP using PSP elements.  Selected PSP elements are available to employees for payroll in CATS. Issues are created in Jira and assigned to PSP elements from SAP. A selector is provided in Jira for the assignment, which displays billable PSP elements synchronously from SAP in the form of a tree in the project structure. The contents for the structure displays are read synchronously from SAP.

The efforts for an issue are recorded in Jira as Worklogs. The recorded expenses are booked in SAP CATS to the PSP element assigned to the Issue. If the assignment of an issue to a PSP element is changed in Jira, all postings to the PSP element are deleted in SAP and posted to the new PSP element. If the assignment of an issue to a PSP element is deleted in Jira, all postings to the PSP element are deleted in SAP.
