Corporate Responsibility
Our Sustainability Initiative
CAS AG takes responsibility for its business practices and bases its decisions on transparent and responsible principles. For CAS AG, sustainable development is the benchmark for a long-term corporate strategy that addresses not only economic challenges but also environmental and social ones. Acting responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws at all times is a core corporate objective for us and is an integral part of CAS AG’s identity. CAS AG has defined this corporate responsibility in guidelines, such as the following Code of Conduct.
Corporate Responsibility
CAS AG Code of Conduct
In CAS AG’s Code of Conduct, we specify our requirements for ourselves and our business partners based on national and international laws, principles, and conventions—including those of the “UN Global Compact”—in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, as established by the BME (Federal Association for Materials Management, Purchasing, and Logistics) , as well as the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

To strengthen our employees’ initiative and awareness of environmental and social responsibility, we encourage active participation in issues related to corporate social responsibility.
We also take corporate responsibility when it comes to paying wages and adhere to the “Equal Pay” principles for work of equal value. The pay for all employees for regular working hours is at least equal to the living wage*. We provide our employees with all benefits required by law and consider wage deductions as a punitive measure to be impermissible.
*A living wage, as defined in Articles 23 and 25 of the “United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights,”
the compensation that a worker receives for a normal workweek in a given location and that is sufficient to provide the worker and his or her family with an adequate standard of living.
An adequate standard of living includes food, water, housing, education, health care, transportation, clothing
, and other essential needs, including provisions for unexpected events.
