RETA Award for Smart Store Solution Goes to ESPRIT; CAS AG Named Top Supplier in Retail
Esprit has won one of the coveted Retail Technology Awards (Reta) from the EHI Retail Institute for its store process optimization project, which was carried out in collaboration with CAS AG. The award in the Best Enterprise Solutions category was presented yesterday at a ceremony held at Dr. Thompson’s Soap Factory in Düsseldorf. In connection with this, CAS AG was recognized as a “Top Supplier Retail” by EHI and the Lebensmittel Zeitung.
With the help of CAS AG, Esprit has migrated the store processes for all of its stores in Europe to mobile devices in such a way that employees can work with data from the central SAP system in real time in an extremely user-friendly manner. As a result, the previous store inventory management system became obsolete. This new, unified view of current inventory is essential for Esprit to further optimize its processes so that it can, among other things, utilize real-time inventory management in the area of omnichannel services.

With the new app, employees on the sales floor can also easily access product information, including the current price. The fact that the apps display an image of the respective product throughout all processes makes employees’ work significantly easier and results in faster and more efficient processing, since items can be identified more quickly with the help of the product image.
CAS AG implemented the store solution using SAP Fiori Apps technology. The consultants developed the apps specifically to align with Esprit’s own desired processes. “The team at CAS AG has actually managed to implement all of our requirements in SAP Fiori apps,” says Alissa Schlüter, Esprit Director of Retail Operations EU.
Esprit executives are also very satisfied with the support provided by CAS AG during the rollout to the stores. The goal during the project phase with CAS AG was to design the app to be so user-friendly that no lengthy training sessions would be necessary. The app should be intuitive for every employee.
“We have rarely worked as well with external partners as we have with CAS AG,” says Alissa Schlüter, praising the consultants: “The joint planning process was fair and transparent. We could count on them completely to complete the work within the planned scope.”
Tobias Rittinghaus, Senior Project Manager at Esprit, adds: “The consultants at CAS AG have consistently approached us with interesting ideas. In doing so, they have demonstrated a very good understanding of retail processes and the needs of our business units.”

That is why choosing CAS AG for the SAP OAA implementation was an easy decision. The department store chain’s IT teams were not disappointed. They were once again very satisfied with the support.
The consultants also work exceptionally well with the users, as the CAS AG team understands their perspective very well. Galeria continues to rely on the support of CAS AG to implement optimizations in the SAP CAR environment.
Galeria’s software team had already successfully completed the migration of the former Kaufhof stores to Karstadt’s software architecture in 2020, so that all of the group’s department stores are now benefiting from the new processes.
