CAS AG Awarded the SDGold Seal

The goal of more than 1,500 supporters of the Alliance for Development and Climate is to combine sustainable development with global climate protection in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment receive the SDGold seal of recognition. CAS AG was honored on October 9, 2024, for its efforts.

As part of the certification process, a comprehensive set of criteria was evaluated by an external auditing organization. From establishing internal corporate responsibilities and accounting for emissions to effectively offsetting emissions and promoting sustainable development, companies must make their commitments transparent and provide evidence of them.

Through this comprehensive assessment, the seal provides helpful guidelines in the complex voluntary carbon market and sets a transparent standard for sustainable business practices. The Alliance for Development and Climate Foundation acts as an independent body that does not itself offer any compensation payments. The core of their work is to advise supporters along the way and to promote high-quality projects. Through workshops, presentations, and practical informational materials, the foundation supports companies, institutions, and individuals on their path toward sustainable development and global climate protection.

On the occasion of CAS AG being awarded the SDGold seal, Dr. Olivia Henke, a board member of the foundation that played a key role in developing the seal and overseeing its implementation, said: “It gives me great pleasure that CAS AG is receiving the SDGold seal.” This seal recognizes a commitment to sustainable development and an active contribution to climate protection. “CAS AG is sending a strong message that innovation and responsible business practices can go hand in hand to bring about positive change for development and the climate.”
