CAS AG, IAL, and THEM Consulting Join Forces

CAS AG, its subsidiary IAL Automation- und Logistik GmbH, and Mannheim-based THEM Consulting GmbH are joining forces to provide consulting, implementation, and support services for SAP warehouse management solutions. In mid-June, THEM acquired a 49 percent stake in IAL, which remains majority-owned by CAS AG.

IAL founder Prof. Dr. Arno Niemietz has sold his shares in the company he founded in 1992 to THEM. He is stepping down as a shareholder and from the management of IAL, but will continue to serve the company in an advisory capacity.

THEM’s participation in IAL puts the companies in an even better position to successfully handle even complex projects related to SAP warehouse management systems to the highest standards. With their in-depth expertise and high-quality project delivery, both companies have made a name for themselves across industries as specialists in SAP logistics solutions such as SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).

Together with CAS AG, THEM and IAL now support companies throughout the entire logistics process chain. The new alliance directly addresses the high demand in numerous industries for qualified consulting partners resulting from the transformation of existing SAP landscapes to SAP S/4HANA —not least in the area of warehouse and logistics systems.

Together, THEM and IAL can also offer enhanced support for existing warehouse management systems in the form of Application Managed Services to ensure the high availability required for distribution centers through second- and third-level support.

In early 2023, CAS AG acquired a majority stake in IAL Automation- und Logistik GmbH, thereby significantly strengthening its expertise in the field of warehouse and transportation systems. For both companies, the merger resulted not only in synergies but also in concrete new projects, as SAP users are increasingly seeking comprehensive, expert consulting on ERP, merchandise management, warehouse management, and transportation solutions.
