Investment in IAL Automation and Logistics GmbH

By acquiring a majority stake in IAL Automation und Logistik GmbH, CAS Concept Solutions AG has strengthened its expertise in the field of warehouse management systems and transportation management. Founded and led by Prof. Dr. Arno Niemietz, IAL has made a name for itself by providing consulting services for SAP projects in the field of logistics across numerous industries. She has over 20 years of experience in the digitization of logistics processes.
The company focuses on supporting projects related to the SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) solution, as well as warehouse automation with SAP MFS, including integration with SAP S/4HANA. IAL can also point to numerous successful projects in retail, industry, and the public sector in the area of SAP solutions for transportation logistics—such as SAP TM and SAP LE-TRA—as well as yard management with solutions like SAP S/4HANA Yard Logistics (YL).
For the two companies, CAS AG and IAL Automation und Logistik GmbH, the merger will not only create synergies but also open up new market opportunities. As a result, SAP users are increasingly seeking comprehensive, expert consulting on ERP, merchandise management, warehouse management, and transportation solutions.

With IAL Automation and Logistics acquiring a majority stake, CAS AG continued its strategy of joining forces with other specialists. As early as 2017, the digital transformation experts joined forces with Berlin-based ferrit Consulting GmbH, a team of specialists in technical, data-driven, and process-oriented IT consulting for banks.
In addition, by acquiring shares in IOT Institut für Organisations- und Technikgestaltung GmbH—which was also founded by Prof. Dr. Arno Niemietz—CAS AG has has already successfully expanded its technical expertise and range of IT consulting services for the retail and industrial sectors using SAP products.
