The goal of the project was to consolidate a large number of decentralized systems, optimize data flows, and achieve transparent integration of internal interfaces . As a result, Coppenrath & Wiese KG achieved digital process optimization with the introduction of Lobster_data.

Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese KG was founded in 1975 by Aloys Coppenrath and Josef Wiese. With an innovative process for continuously whipping cream and the use of flash freezing, they revolutionized the market for frozen baked goods. The first product, the “Wiener Platte,” quickly became a staple on German coffee tables.

Today, the company based in Mettingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, is the market leader in frozen baked goods in Germany and part of the Oetker Group. With a product line that includes tarts, cakes, rolls, and—since 2022—vegan products as well, Coppenrath & Wiese KG produces millions of baked goods every day. The company places great emphasis on sustainability, uses renewable energy, and prefers to source high-quality ingredients from the region.
